Understanding legal frameworks is vital for protecting creative works, ensuring smooth logistics, and managing risks in today’s art world. In this course, you will learn strategies to handle the common legal issues faced by curators, gallerists, artists, and other art professionals.


We will cover essential topics like copyright law, intellectual property protection, fair use guidelines, and contracts. Additionally, we will explore legal challenges related to art logistics, from art transport and customs regulations to insurance requirements. Using real case studies, you will gain a practical understanding of how to identify, prevent, and address potential legal issues before they arise.


By the end of the course, you’ll have the key legal knowledge to maintain ethical practices, operational integrity, and foster successful collaborations within the art world. No prior knowledge is required.
