In this course, you will learn the essential procedures and best practices of art collection management for maintaining and developing collections - from large institutional archives to private art inventories.

Over five weeks, we will discuss different categories of collections and how they function. We will cover the key processes and software involved in daily management: from registration methods to digital documentation. We will also guide you through the legal considerations and complexities of acquisition, provenance, and repatriation, which are crucial for ethical art collecting.

The course is designed for art or administrative professionals looking to move into collection management. Private collectors who want to better manage their collections will also benefit.
